VIRTUAL: Non-bio/Non-gestational Parents Conversation | 6pm-8pm PST
Description
This event REGISTRATION IS CLOSED. Please EMAIL Krystal Peak [she/her], at krystal@ourfamily.org TO REGISTER AFTER ONLINE ENROLLMENT CLOSES.
Parenting is a journey unto itself but for so many LGBTQ+ families it means making some compromises, sacrifices, and a lot of planning.
For non-biological and/or non-gestating parents there are a series of gender, familial, and societial shifts that are often hard to navigate. We hope that by having parents that are non-bio/non-gestating share their highs, lows, tips, and tools, other caregivers will have the resources they need to build their family with even greater support.
We hope to discuss issues that can arise from family planning and trying-to-conceive through the birth, bonding and beyond.
All are welcome to attend the event, but we are catering the content toward LGBTQ+ families and those looking to build their LGBTQ+ family.
This 90 minute discussion will allow for these families to share their experiences and time for Q&A from the audience.
We hope that this event will create a space for non-bio/gestating parents to learn from one another and build community support.
