This is a hybrid event. It will be available both in person and online via video conference.
Please register in advance to receive phone and video conference access information.
Connect with and provide mutual support to other parents and caregivers in this monthly group. Navigating the world as a queer/trans*/SOGI minority parent can be complex, and finding a safe space to build community with each other can be challenging, especially with our progress so far amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. Join this group with other parents/caregivers in social community where you can be your whole self and talk about what matters to y'all! This Drop-In group will monthly on the 1st Monday.
*Childcare will be provided for in-person participants

A FEW IMPORTANT NOTES:
If you plan on attending this event in person, please email Family Programs Coordinator, Shari D'Aguilar (shari@ourfamily.org) directly, no later than Friday, February 4th at 11:00am. Please also let Shari know if you will need childcare while at the office so staff may properly accommodate for participant attendance and any dietary restrictions or special needs. For any questions about accommodations, please call our office at 415-981-1960 ext.303 to ensure we receive your request.
We allow a maximum of 3 families in person at Our Family Coalition this event as part of our COVID safety protocols. The first 3 families to express interest will be able to participate in person.
This event will be held at our San Francisco office: 1385 Mission Street, Suite 330, San Francisco, CA 94103. Gated parking is available. Our parking lot is located on the corner of 10th Street and Mission Street in San Francisco. Please call (415) 981-1960 to be let in.
Snacks will be provided.
A Zoom link will be sent out the morning of the event for those joining online.
FACILITATOR:
Family Programs Coordinator, Shari D'Aguilar (she/her) is dedicated to serving her community.
CHILDCARE PROVIDER:
Noah Snell (he/they) is a current Mills College student majoring in Women's and Gender Studies and minoring in Ethnic Studies. He is also the president of the Trans and Gender-nonconforming Club on campus. Noah has nearly five years of childcare experience as a nanny, camp counselor, and volunteer at an elementary school, daycare, and shelter. Noah is passionate about building community and fostering inclusivity with kids, including cultivating intentional language, affirming diverse identities, and instilling beliefs of acceptance. Noah aspires to work with queer and gender-expansive kids post-graduation and finds great joy being in the presence of young people living as their authentic selves. In their free time, Noah enjoys photography, embroidery, reading, and spending time with his partner and two cats, Finn and Ollie.
COVID-19 SAFETY GUIDELINES:
- Anyone entering OFC must be fully vaccinated. A personal attestation must be signed at the front desk indicating that anyone entering the space is fully vaccinated, does not have any symptoms, and has not been in contact with anyone with COVID.
- Maximum of 3 families in person at a time at our indoor events.
- All OFC staff, volunteers, interns, and guests are required to be masked, check their temperature and sanitize their hands upon entering the office.
- All staff are required to wipe down their desks and phones before and after use on a daily basis using the sanitation wipes.
- Windows must be opened to allow ventilation and air vents should be turned on.
- Six-feet distancing should be maintained at all times when inside.
- When children are present in the child care area or in the main office, all children must remain masked. Their hands should be wiped with sanitation wipes upon entry into the space and frequently during their stay within the space, and once again before leaving the space.
