VIRTUAL: Group Positive Parenting Program for Parents of Children 0-12 | 6-8PM(PST)

  This event is offered virtually only, online via video conference and by phone. Registration closed after the 2nd week of the series.

 

The Triple P – Positive Parenting Program helps parents and caregivers of children from 0 to 12 years understand their child's social and emotional development, and approach behavioral challenges with structured, consistent, effective responses – enabling more time and energy for the joyful activities that build positive parent-child relationships.   

Triple P strategies draw from social learning, cognitive behavioral and developmental theory, and extensive research into the sources of behavioral problems in children. Throughout the 12-week course, participants study the patterns of conflict in their families, learn to prepare in advance new ways to respond to flare-ups, and refine their ability to help their children develop emotional and behavioral self-regulation.

We've been offering it yearly for over 6 years, and dozens of OFC parents have found it to make a huge difference in their parenting. Here's what a local parent had to say about the impact of the class on her parenting.

The course will be facilitated by Triple P-trained and certified OFC Programs Director, Shareena Clark Ascher.

We’re looking for stories by or about LGBTQ+ parents/caregivers or prospective parents, as well as the grandparents or adult children of LGBTQ+ headed families.

Generally, we hope your story will not only inform other families on LGBTQ+ family topics, but also let others know that they are not alone in the journey of advocating for our families.

Whether you feel like you’ve arrived, or your story is not yet complete, know that we can keep one another company all along the way. And it always helps to feel a little less alone.
