VIRTUAL: LGBTQ+ Inclusive Puberty & Sex Education Panel | 6-8PM PST
Description
This event REGISTRATION IS OPEN. Please EMAIL Anne, at anne@ourfamily.org if you have any questions about this event.
Sex education is often a fraught and even controversial topic at home and in schools. As LGBTQ+ families continue to advocate for inclusive and comprehensive sex education, there are still so many challenges that pop up.
This is why Our Family Coalition is hosting this virtual panel on ‘LGBTQ+ inclusive Puberty & Sex Education’. Our aim is to offer perspectives from teachers, advocates, and a LGBTQ+ parent/caregivers.
We’ll be touching on topics such as inclusion in the classroom, the importance of representation, how to incorporate LGBTQ+ topics into already-set curricula, resistance from community, and how to address gender.
The discussion would be free to the public and hosted on our Zoom platform on February 10th from 6-8pm.
There will be time for Q&A following the discussion.
