IN PERSON: Family Fun Clay Day at the SF Botanical Garden | 10AM-4 PM PST
Description
This event is offered in person only. Please register in advance to ensure we can accommodate you, as attendance is limited for safety reasons.
Come join us for Clay Day at the Children's Garden!
Come get dirty with clay in the Garden! Learn about the journey of a clay pot in all its phases. Children will be able to discover the entire process of making a clay pot, starting with excavating clay from the ground, followed by exploring, smashing, and grinding the clay. We will then have some fun forming different objects from the materials gathered in the Garden. This day of pottery at the Children's Garden will teach children of all ages about clay, but everyone is invited to learn and participate!
This event, in collaboration with Mel Rice Ceramica, is free for all families. RSVPs are required to attend this event.

The pottery studio at the Fort Mason Campus of San Francisco City College is where she spent eight years as both a student and a studio manager.
