Afro-Play Oakland | We Got Us | 5pm - 7pm
Description
We Got Us with Afroplay & OFC
What:
Afro-Play is a thematic family playgroup based in Afrocentrism for families of the African Diaspora.
We honor the Black experience. Afro-Play provides a sacred, supportive intergenerational gathering space for the healing, growth and the socialization of both black children and black parents/caregivers. We strive to help build and maintain authentic relationships organically between families through fun, thoughtful and educational curriculum themes surrounded in Afrocentricity. Our goal is to enlighten and empower black families as one people.
This event will be centered specifically around holding space for fathers of Black identifying children to reflect on our roles within our family and the community.
Join us for an evening of parent led conversations discussing Fatherhood, caring for our families, and showing up for ourselves.
Dinner will be provided
When:
Wednesday | November 13 | 5pm - 7pm
Where:
8711 MacArthur Blvd. Oakland, Portable B | 94605
