Financial planning can feel tedious and overwhelming and estate planning can be partiularly daunting. This Estate Planning Workshop session is designed specifically for LGBTQ+ parents and caregivers looking to safeguard your family’s future with clarity and confidence.
In this workshop, we’ll explore:
- Foundational estate planning tools: What wills, trusts, and guardianship documents are & why they matter for LGBTQ+ families
- Protecting your parental rights: Steps to ensure your children’s care, custody, and inheritance wishes are upheld
- Choosing guardians and decision-makers: How to designate trusted people for financial and medical decisions
- Navigating unique legal considerations for LGBTQ+ parents
- Preparing for the unexpected: Practical guidance on documents every family should have in place
