Description
Honoring Our Bodies, Reclaiming Our Power
Pelvic Floor WellnesWorkshop
What:
Our Family Coalition, in partnership with AfroPlay, invites you to an in-person pelvic floor wellness workshop designed to center healing, embodiment, and community care. This collaborative offering reflects our shared commitment to supporting Black families and caregivers while welcoming all who wish to learn in an affirming space.
Participants will gain a foundational understanding of the pelvic floor and its vital role in overall wellness. Together, we’ll explore how stress, trauma, childbirth, caregiving, and systemic inequities can impact our bodies over time. Through gentle education, grounding practices, and practical tools, this workshop creates space to reconnect with the body, ask questions openly, and build sustainable strategies to support pelvic health.
This is a body-affirming, inclusive environment rooted in dignity, access, and collective healing. We look forward to gathering in community to nurture the wisdom our bodies hold.
Meet Our Facilitor:
Dr. Claudia Catalán is a Gynochiropractor, healer, facilitator, and medicine woman dedicated to guiding women toward reclaiming their power, voice, and embodied self-trust. Over the years, she has led transformative circles, women’s gatherings, and healing spaces for groups ranging from intimate sessions to 80+ participants, holding space for deep nervous system and emotional work.
As a lead facilitator for a global company Kairos Training Culture, Claudia has trained and supported thousands of chiropractors and chiropractic students around the world—in Atlanta, Kansas City, Dallas, Puerto Rico, and the Bay Area—helping practitioners integrate healing, presence, and embodiment into their practices. She has sat in medicine alongside her father, facilitating ancestral and somatic healing, and continues to weave these practices into her own circles and offerings.
Recently, Claudia has stepped fully into building her own practice, bringing her expertise, intuition, and grounded medicine to women seeking transformation, empowerment, and connection. Her work blends somatic and energy healing, nervous system regulation, and the creation of sacred spaces where women can safely expand into their fullest selves.
