Make History, Teach History: An LGBTQ History Symposium: POSTPONED
Description
Thank you for your interest in Make History, Teach History: An LGBTQ History Symposium, originally scheduled for October 12th.
Please note that the symposium itself has been rescheduled for Spring 2019 (date TBA).
After discussions with dozens of partners, the planning team decided to transform the event into an LGBTQ History Stakeholder Forum, instead bringing together key collaborators on October 12, 2018 to gather a wide range of input for a Spring 2019 Symposium.
We have seen strong interest among a great many collaborators in supporting educators provide effective LGBTQ-inclusive history instruction at the K-12 levels, and we’re very excited to expand the educator professional development planning process to accommodate this interest.
Please join us at the LGBTQ History Stakeholder Forum, on the same date – October 12, at the same place – Google Community Space.
During the first week of September, please check back to this page for updated information on the October 12th LGBTQ History Stakeholder Forum. The Spring 2019 Symposium date will be shared with the public after the Stakeholder Forum.
We invite you to contact education@ourfamily.org with any questions or suggestions.
